There’s nothing more awe-inspiring than watching the imagination of children come to life.
That’s why our brand new Look Book Worx is perfect for kids.
As you can see in the video above, we gave a few children one of our Look Book Worx and asked them what they plan to do with them. And when it comes to kids, the answers were as varied and fun as you might expect.
Sparking Imagination In Children
When we came up with the concept of a portable vision board, little did we realize, at first, just what the possibilities were. It can be so much more than a vision board though that’s certainly a fantastic reason to use it.
But the more we talk to people, the more we explore who might love a Look Book and how they can enjoy using it, the more we realize that it can be anything you want it to be.
How awesome is that?
We think it’s pretty awesome. Here’s a shortlist of a few possibilities. We believe there may be more yet.
A memory book: Anyone who’s lost a loved one, either human or a furry family member, knows that finding ways to express your sorrow, as well as to remember the good times, is so essential to the healing process. Scrapbooks can be an excellent way to find a creative outlet as well as to memorialize your loved one.
It’s very cathartic to lose yourself on memory lane, and creating something you can carry with you to look at whenever you want to revisit your memories is extremely comforting. The Look Book can be your portable scrapbook.
A planning tool: Whether you’re planning a wedding or a vacation, the Look Book is an excellent way to save your ideas in a visual form that you can carry with you as a resource. And what about planning a child’s birthday party? Get a Look Book for your child and another one for yourself, and enjoy planning the activities and invitees to the party together. What a great way to spend time with your little one.
Consider taking it a step further and throw a Look Book party. Give a book to each child attending the party. Choose a theme — maybe, what do you want to be when you grow up — and let the kids build their Look Books together. Why paint a T-shirt or a hat when you can create your very own Look Book? And their books make a wonderful party favor to take with them when the party is over.
A creative outlet: Whether for you or your children, putting together a Look Book on anything you want to memorialize is a delightful creative outlet. The possibilities are endless. Plan a party, make a portable scrapbook, build a bucket list. Kids may not be thinking about bucket lists, but they would certainly enjoy the artistic aspects of creating their own book.
A dream board: We all have dreams. And as kids, our dreams are so extraordinary. The sky’s the limit. Children haven’t yet learned to place boundaries on their dreams.Let your child’s imagination soar. Anything and everything is fair game. The only limit is their imagination. Why not get one for your kids and yourself and sit down one afternoon and work on your books together?
A fun, creative activity: Anything we do for the sheer joy and pleasure of the experience is time well spent. And kids are so full of imagination and creativity. Even if you’re not planning a party, or capturing goals, it’s fun to see where your child’s creative mind will take him. Get your child a book, maybe even a couple books on varying themes, and let her enjoy filling it up. Being creative is never wasted time. No one knows this better than a child.
Open Up The Possibilities
We had so much fun talking with these children in this video. Asking them what they wanted to be when they grew up, or what they liked to do, gave us answers we would never have anticipated. Like wanting a pet fox! Who would have seen that one coming?
But that’s the beauty of the creative mind. And kids know better than we do how to tap into that mind.
Get a Look Book for yourself. Get one for your kids.
And sit back and marvel as the gloriously creative ideas flow.
